Designed for cars, rather than vans, 4x4s or commercial vehicles.
A stronger sidewall lets this tyre carry more weight than a standard tyre of the same size. Marked XL on the sidewall.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
An added benefit of the SONIX WINTERXPRO 999 is its rubber compound. Constructed for cold weather, it stays flexible whilst the temperature decreases. Compared to regular summer rubber compounds, the WINTERXPRO 999 will outperform those compounds on wet roads and light snow. The WINTERXPRO 999 has an assembly of fine, dense, 3D slits on its surface, which generate additional edges for snow and compacted snow driving and pulling away. The wide slits between the tread sections help the tyre transport water and slush away from the patch of the tyre that is in contact with the road surface. The casing has been designed to help the driver experience control and comfort for daily driving, and engineered to aid in the reduction of tread vibration along with road noise.
The WINTERXPRO 999 is also designed with rubber that retains grip in changing conditions, and is perfect for commuting and driving long distances during winter. Additional stability is offered for settled snow with the WINTERXPRO 999 tread sections. You can find Sonix WINTERXPRO 999 winters online at Tyres.co.uk.
