Designed for cars, rather than vans, 4x4s or commercial vehicles.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
The Sailun Ice Blazer WST2 is a winter tyre suitable for passenger cars designed for use in icy and snowy conditions. These tyres have a rubber blend designed to be softer in cold, icy conditions aligned with a directional, V-shaped tread pattern. The V-shaped tread channels help evacuation of snow and slush from the contact surface of the tyre to assist with grip. There are slits in the tread blocks which help to create extra snow grip edges and help with the snow grip as well. The tread blocks have winter stud holes for the winter tyre studs.
If the regulations allow it in your area, you can add winter studs for extra grip on long, icy roads. This tyre has the severe snow certification which is represented with the 3PMSF mark on the sidewall. This tyre also has the M+S marking for the mud and snow tread pattern. The Sailun Ice Blazer WST2 is available on Tyres.co.uk.
