The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 tyre is designed for changing conditions with performance labelled with an A rating for wet conditions as well as possessing 3PMSF certification. The Cinturato All Season SF3 uses a directional tread with longitudinal grooves that channel water through the tyre. The outer blocks assist with braking and steering on wet pavement. The Cinturato All Season SF3 uses 3D micro-slits that provide traction for braking and acceleration on snow, and maintain the integrity of the block due to the slits changing shape when the tyre wears.

The SF3 is the successor to the SF2 with improved tread technology designed to provide wet and snow performance for the life of the tyre. Some variations of the Cinturato All Season SF3 come with the ELECT designation for use on electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Seal Inside variations close punctures in the tread area due to the sealing layer inside the tyre. All variations of the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 can be found on Tyres.co.uk.

It's hard to assess this product because we still don't know how it performs in winter conditions. I guess we'll have to wait and see, however I've always been satisfied with this brand.

These were bought based on reviews. The grip and performance are fine but the comfort and noise levels are terrible! They are very harsh over uneven roads. I've tried adjusting the pressures and had the wheels balanced again - zero improvement. The tyre noise is almost unbearable on rough and concrete roads. They are very much worse than my previous winter/all season tyres. Poorer than what is expected from a premium tyre. Very disappointed.

I changed my Michelin Crossclimates, which were great and lasted approximately 20,000 miles, to Pirelli's. The Pirelli's seem a little quieter than the Crossclimates and provide better traction on the wet roads, especially in comparison to the worn Michelins. Under cold, wet, and at times frosty conditions, the traction has been excellent, although not particularly better than the Michelins. I haven't tried them in the snow yet. They've only gone 2,000 miles, so I can't determine how quickly the tread will wear down, but I feel confident that they will be as long lasting as the Michelins.

These tyres excel the Michelin Cross Climates they replaced on a Volvo V90 Cross Country. The Climates would fold their tread in corners, these do not. Better performance in wet and sleet conditions is also noted, even though the tread pattern looks similar. Both sets have similar noise levels, while I have yet to test them in deep snow. When buying a full set, these tyres are also significantly cheaper. The Cross Climates are bested, however, a full dedicated set of summer and winter tyres still outperforms them. This would be the Michelin PS4 paired with Vredestein or Nokian tyres. All season tyres, like these, have compromise and a dedicated set is still the best way to go.

I have only used them briefly in light snow and they handled well. I have not tried other all season tyres for comparison, but they aren't the best in dry conditions. You can't expect too much from an all season tyre, but they are much better in the dry than a winter tyre. They are comfortable and despite the tread design, not too noisy.

I selected these tyres because they have an A rating for wet conditions and were the only tyres in my size that had this score. I went to Skye in November and it was very wet but the tyres coped with terrible conditions very well. I've been back home in South Yorkshire and we've had some snow and they've still always remained grippy. I've got 235/50/18 on my Volvo XC70 and they are AMAZING.
