The Nankang SV-2 is specifically designed to tackle the challenges of winter conditions. With its cleverly designed V-shaped tread pattern, the SV-2 effectively channels slush and water away to prevent aquaplaning. The slush and water will be no match for the SV-2. The slits in the tread blocks will provide enhanced grip to the winter compound, even in extremely low temperatures, while cornering and handling will be improved due to the solid blocks on the outer edges. The outer blocks of tread provide support for cornering and solid edge grip as the inner tread block slits assist grip and slush and water and snow channeling away from the contact patch.
Some sizes of the SV-2 have the M + S and 3PMSF markings which allows for easy identification of appropriate winter fitments. SV-2s are available in reinforced XL construction which is classified as extra load. These designations are specific to the tyre sizes so check the sidewall markings. You can find the Nankang SV-2 and its reinforced XL versions at Tyres.co.uk.
