The two main features of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4, a summer max-performance tyre, are its wet braking and steering responsiveness. It uses a tread design that features a two-part tread and an aramid and nylon belt. In the outer tread, and in the inner tread, are the two different forms of Bi-Compound Technology. One uses a dry grip rubber with a hybrid elastomer, and the other uses a silica blend with a wet grip elastomer. Michelin’s Dynamic Response Technology uses an aramid and nylon belt in combination with the tread design to convey the driver’s steering inputs into the road while ensuring that the tread remains stable during the steering load.
Some variants of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 mark the sidewall with a BMW Star Mark or MO (Mercedes-Benz Original) marking indicating they were made to the specifications of each respective car maker. Michelin also makes the Pilot Sport 4 SUV targeted at lighter SUVs and crossovers and made with a casing that accommodates the weight of heavier vehicles. Considering this, we sell the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 here at Tyres.co.uk.
