The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 is a summer performance tyre that balances wet-weather performance and tread-life. It uses an asymmetric tread along with Michelin Anti Surf System that helps clear standing water at speed. The Anti Surf System shapes the grooves and channels in the tread to quickly divert water away from the tyre tread in case of heavy rainfall. It features a rubber compound called Green Power Compound that helps enhance wet grip and lowers rolling resistance.
The next generation of the Pilot Sport tyre range is the Pilot Sport 4. The self-supporting tyre sidewalls in the ZP runflat versions are designed to carry the vehicle in case of a tyre puncture or loss of pressure.
