Michelin CrossClimate 3 is an all-season tyre that is supposed to offer consistent performance in wet braking and snow traction throughout the life of the tread. The CrossClimate 3 makes use of directional V-tread to move water out to the outer part of the tyre. The chevron tread blocks come together in the centre of the tyre while the grooves between shoulder blocks and tread slits create channels to allow the water to escape and more edges for traction in snow.

The CrossClimate 3 is the new model of the CrossClimate 2 and is part of the Michelin all-season tyres series. The CrossClimate 3 features the 3PMSF and M+S markings and can be used in severe snow conditions and mud and snow traversing. In addition, there is the CrossClimate 3 Sport for a sport focused all-season tyre. The CrossClimate 3 tyre is available at Tyres.co.uk for the all-season tyre for daily driving.

These tyres provide excellent handling and grip for my Mercedes C-Class estate. They give me confidence when handling the car in both the rain and on the streets, and the only downside is that they give slightly more road noise because of their unique treading style. This small issue is easily overlooked given the improvement in my safety and performance, and the improved fuel efficiency is just a bonus. As I expected from the CrossClimate label (Michelin France), they have exceeded my expectations. I fitted two of the same make and model of tyre to the other axle about 18 months ago, and they still have 4mm of tread all the way round, even though I drive with the higher pressures that Mercedes-Benz recommends for fully loaded. For my band's weekly gigs, I have to carry a huge amount of heavy music gear including guitars, amps, speakers, and a full PA system.
