Product description & features

The Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport is an all-season tyre designed to provide an authentic sportscar feel of direct steering throughout the seasons, and it’s also certified for driving in severe winter conditions with 3PMSF. The tyre features a directional V-shaped tread that is designed with channels that widen towards the outer edge and facilitate the removal of water from the tread pattern. Dynamic Response Technology uses a hybrid aramid and nylon belt to provide the tyre with shape under the forces of changing steering.

The CrossClimate 3 Sport is equipped with the Thermal Adaptive Tread Compound 2.0 which allows the tyre to perform in the varying temperature conditions that an all-season tyre may encounter. The sidewall of the tyre features the 3PMSF marking which indicates that the tyre has met the required standards for driving on snow. Alpine has chosen the CrossClimate 3 Sport as the original equipment fitment on the A390 Electric Sports Fastback. Tyres.co.uk is proud to offer the Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport 285/45R20 112Y XL
Everything's okay I guess. I changed to all-season tyres because they do well on my other car. I have yet to test these in quite cold temperatures.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport 285/45R20 112Y XL
Wonderful! They have a great sporty and comfortable feel, and they perform exceptionally well in both wet and snowy conditions. Old summer tyres really struggled, but these handled snow with ease. They have also been really good at dealing with potholes and kerbs, and they also seem to reduce road noise.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport 285/45R20 112Y XL
These tyres have replaced a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5s, and I had no expectations of them coming close in terms of performance. I was just trying to see if all-season tyres on my Golf R estate with 19" wheels were any less jarring on the terrible Scottish roads. I have to say, it is a noticeable difference. There is no magic solution for 19" 35 profile tyres, but these are much better for day-to-day driving. The grip and performance are about the same on cold, wet days, however, you can feel a loss of precision in the steering when compared to the MPS5s. That is about the only negative performance aspect, though. I will say they have a really rounded edge which makes the tyre look like it should be wider (it shouldn't), and they are lacking rim protection, so be careful with kerbs! I have concerns about the outer tread of the tyre wearing down quickly. They are quiet tyres and handle rain and wet roads really well, and they have a pretty good grip when there is ice in the mornings. They handle well in both wet and dry conditions, with the exception of track days. I haven't tried them in the summer, but so far they are a solid set of tyres.
