The Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport is an all-season tyre designed to provide an authentic sportscar feel of direct steering throughout the seasons, and it’s also certified for driving in severe winter conditions with 3PMSF. The tyre features a directional V-shaped tread that is designed with channels that widen towards the outer edge and facilitate the removal of water from the tread pattern. Dynamic Response Technology uses a hybrid aramid and nylon belt to provide the tyre with shape under the forces of changing steering.

The CrossClimate 3 Sport is equipped with the Thermal Adaptive Tread Compound 2.0 which allows the tyre to perform in the varying temperature conditions that an all-season tyre may encounter. The sidewall of the tyre features the 3PMSF marking which indicates that the tyre has met the required standards for driving on snow. So far, they are performing exceptionally well. I'm looking forward to putting them to the test in snow and ice to see how they cope with the colder temperatures. As for now, they're on par with the performance of summer tyres which is uncommon for an all-season contender.

I wanted new tyres for my Ford Focus ST ahead of our trip to the French Alps in January 2026. I changed the Pirelli P Zero FP's for a more winter appropriate option that I can keep for the summer months. The Cross Climates are brilliant and inspire a lot of confidence in the wet but also snow. I didn't need to use the snow socks that I had with me for the worst conditions. Would recommend them. Ignore the scuff marks from when my son borrowed the car.

I think these tyres are better than the Continentals my Mercedes recommended. The Continentals would skid on wet roads while these stay stuck to the road. They are also a lot quieter.

Both summer and winter tyres perform exceptionally well. I am disappointed that the price has risen from £108 to over £150. I bought a replacement most recently. I would also mention that the fitting service chose not to remove inner rim cleaning to prevent leaks, but this time the customer service was nice enough to cover the expense to repair it.
