The Michelin Agilis 3 summer van tyre focuses on wet braking. The Agilis 3 uses a compound of two resins with the addition of U-shaped grooves that displace water. The design of the grooves allows for further displacement of water as the tyres wear. The Agilis 3 has protective rubber sheaths to protect the sidewalls of the tyre from impacts due to contact with the kerb.
The Agilis 3 van tyre has replaced the Agilis+ and offers van drivers 7% more mileage. In addition, Michelin claims the Agilis 3 reduces rolling resistance by further advancing the design by 12% which in turn can result in a savings of 1.8 litres of fuel per 1,000km.
