The Marshal Radial 857 is specifically designed as a summer tyre for vans. The reinforced carcass provides a sturdy base for while the rib tread provides lateral stability and is divided by four longitudinal grooves. These channels facilitate the evacuation of surface water to reduce the risk of aquaplaning. The longitudinal grooves also create biting edges in the tread. The patented design leaves the tyres with the ability to dissipate the stresses of carrying commercial loads while maintaining its form.

Tyres with a C-marking are designed specifically for commercial load ratings. Therefore, in the putting a new tyre on a commercial vehicle, the replacement must have the same side wall marking as the old tyre. The Radial 857 has a tread pattern designed specifically for vans that are constantly driving on paved roads, especially for delivery and local service work.
