Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).
These tyres have been specifically designed for fitment and use on cars.
The Lanvigator Catchfors A/T is an all-terrain tyre emphasising a mixture of paved-road, farm, gravel, and dirt-road driving. Their use of interlocking tread blocks shapes the tyre for road driving, while the empty spaces cater to driving on softer surfaces. The design features wide grooves cut through the pattern with an open outer edge (as opposed to being closed by a continuous band of rubber). The gaps provide a pathway for water, loose debris, and mud to exit the tyre tread. The spaced elements of the design work into softer surfaces.
On paved surfaces, the interlocking design provides support for braking and cornering because it keeps the adjacent elements in the pattern working together. Off paved surfaces, the interlocking design works by engaging the block edges with gravel and mud, while the spaces between the blocks clear loose debris. Tyres.co.uk stocks the Lanvigator Catchfors A/T tyres.
