Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).

The Kumho Ecsta PS72 is a high-performance summer tyre that focuses on wet braking and high-speed stability. It has four wide longitudinal grooves in its asymmetric tread to remove water from the contact patch. Larger, stiffer blocks on the outer edge assist the tyre during cornering, and the central rib helps maintain the tread at high speeds. The High Grip Resin compound also has a 3D Block Design that helps the tread retain braking support.
The PS72 is one step higher than the Ecsta PS71 in the Ultra High Performance range. On the EU Label the wet grip is class A, while fuel efficiency and external noise ratings differ by size.
