The Kumho PS71 EV is a summer ultra-high-performance tyre that focuses on the characteristics of the weight and torque of electric passenger vehicles. It has an asymmetric tread pattern with an internal structure designed to support driving on A-roads and motorway with enhanced steering response even with the additional weight that electric vehicles carry. Unlike traditional patterns that have the same design on the inner and outer halves, the outer half pattern has been designed to carry cornering load and is supported by the construction of the tyre. The PS71 has been designed to support the weight of an electric vehicle and stabilise the vehicle at high speeds.
To enhance wet road performance (braking and traction), surface water is channelled away through the front to back grooves and lateral channels. The design requires minimal tread vibration, which is an EV focused design. This also helps support the quieter cabin of an EV. With this in mind, the tread design is aimed at modern EVs and high-torque passenger vehicles. Tyres.co.uk has the Kumho PS71 EV in stock.
