The Kumho Ecsta PS71 focuses on wet braking and transverse water movement with their resin compound that has a high grip on damp surfaces. The asymmetric tread pattern has four large longitudinal grooves that help channel water away from the tyre. Cornering is enhanced by the solid blocks on the outer edge of the tread. The 3D Block Design from Kumho allows the tread to remain stable during high speed driving and load.

The casing has been reinforced to support the tread when under load. As a summer tyre, it has been designed to be functional when the temperature is above approximately 7 degrees Celsius. Fantastic tyres, I've purchased around half a dozen sets over the years. I've had them on another Jaguar XJ for quite a while and about three sets on this car so far. They handle great; I first tested them a few years ago in dry and wet conditions. I am very satisfied with them as they perform their job great, they last a long time, and are fairly priced. I've recommended them to two other Jaguar owners who again just bought sets.

Great tyres provides a good grip in different conditions. I have experienced some sliding on ice, mostly at the back end where this tyre wasn't fitted, glad to see these tyres provide such good grip. These tyres are slightly louder than some of the other options and I have experienced some tread movement when I steer hard but that's partly the cars fault.

The Kumho Ecsta PS71 tyres are certainly no slouches. I chose them because I wanted something that performed well in the rain, and they've exceeded my expectations by having amazing grip in the rain. They're also great on dry roads, perhaps not Michelin-level, but more than good enough for me. I've done 4000 miles and they still look brand new. They're fitted on a dual motor Polestar.
