Goodyear Excellence tyres use Goodyear 3-Zone Technology to create the tread for their summer touring tyre. The Goodyear Excellence has an asymmetric tread with three sections: wet weather grip, cornering, and a quiet ride. A silica compound with open channels and grooves help the Goodyear Excellence tyre grip in the rain. The outer handling section consists of large stiff blocks. The internal handling section is closed to help reduce noise. The Goodyear Excellence comes in the RunOnFlat option. The sidewalls on this option are reinforced to support the weight of the car after losing pressure. Goodyear Excellence also comes with reinforced construction to support higher weight vehicles. This tyre option has XL printed on the sidewalls. At Tyres.co.uk we supply the Goodyear Excellence tyre, including the RunOnFlat version.

Even in hot weather, I see no signs of wear on these tyres, so I trust their grip and comfort. It's like getting ready for a wedding, you wouldn't want to ruin a nice suit with a pair of old shoes.

These are similar to the Bridgestones I had earlier, though they are a little bit noisier and the ride is stiffer, particularly in the cold.

The front tyres have bulges from repetitive hits to the same outer-edge location potholes. One front tyre is almost torn off, though it is still holding air. The back tyre has small tears on the edges, and it is possible that they will end up like this. The durability of these tyres is not acceptable to me. Next time I will go for normal tyres rather than runflats. The front tyres have been used for 2 years, and the back ones for 1.
