Product description & features

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 is a summer tyre focused on improving performance during wet conditions with an innovative asymmetric design. Goodyear claims that the innovation is that the design allows the rubber to hammer tiny bits of the wet road, increasing contact, and therefore, friction. It is also designed to guide the water away from the centre grooves to improve dry performance. The outer edge of the design has large blocks that provide support when cornering.

The Asymmetric 6 replaced the Asymmetric 5 in 2022. Goodyear also claims that their SoundComfort Technology are tyre inserts made of polyurethane that help absorb and lower the noise caused by the air moving in and out of the tyre. Tyres.co.uk sells the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, SoundComfort editions included.

Highlights

  • Summer tyre for wet conditions

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 6) 265/45R20 108Y XL
These tyres were good on my heavy X5 and made the ride easy. They were good on braking and cornering and the road noise is only fairly averaged. They've the Continentals before, and these are far better. I'd purchase these again, unless I choose Michelins or if Rolo gets to the UK.

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 6) 265/45R20 108Y XL
Superb grip when cornering and braking in all weather conditions. Great grip during acceleration, the ride is solid yet still comfortable and the cabin is quiet enough at speed. Tyres outlast cheaper options and are better for fuel economy.

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 6) 265/45R20 108Y XL
Extremely quiet. They are great in performance. They excel on rainy roads. I feel much more secure when driving my car because it is more stable.
