The SP Winter Response is specifically designed for winter use on passenger vehicles. Dunlop employs the Silica-Plus compound on the SP Winter Response to help the tread maintain flexibility during cold winter weather. This compound also helps with traction on winter roads. The SP Winter Response employs a directional tread pattern with a V-shaped design to help channel away water and slush. Within the tread blocks and in combination with the slits, the blocks can help provide traction in winter conditions.
Dunlop further improved the SP Winter Response with the release of the SP Winter Response 2. The 2 improves upon the SP Winter Response with a new generation and design with a similar directional tread pattern. The 2 employs a directional arrow on the side wall to help indicate the correct rolling direction and pattern orientation for improved water channeling.
