Product description & features

The Dunlop SP SportMaxx RT2 summer tyre targets high performance in quick steering and braking scenarios. Dunlop’s Dynamic Response Technology allows the SP SportMaxx RT2 to push more rubber onto the tarmac in cornering situations. The tyre’s asymmetric tread features a hard outer shoulder, a stable centre, and a continuous centre section. The braking and grip performance of this tyre on wet and dry tarmac is thanks to Dunlop’s Adaptive Compound, a silica-rich rubber blend.

The SP SportMaxx RT2 is the successor of the SP SportMaxx RT. It’s the latest addition to Dunlop’s performance tyre line-up. The SP SportMaxx RT2 is also available in reinforced XL construction for higher load applications. The Self-supporting RunOnFlat versions allow a vehicle to continue to run on the tyre for a limited distance after losing pressure. At Tyres.co.uk, we offer the SP SportMaxx RT2 and the RunOnFlat versions.

Works great in all weather conditions even with a rear-wheel drive. We still need to see how long the tyres last.

Bad weather cause problems with pulling away from roundabouts or stops. Cars just end up spinning.

Reasonable tyres, would rate them quiet, grip in the wet and dry could be improved.

Overall, they are quite good. The rubber edge on the tyre is good for stopping the alloys from getting scuffed.
