The Dunlop SP SportMaxx GT is a summer tyre designed for high speed stability with a tread optimised for fast cornering and Kevlar sidewall reinforcement. The tread features a blocky outer edge for cornering with a more open inner edge for water clearance. The steering is aided with sidewall reinforcement as cornering forces resist flex.

Extensive use of Multi Radius Tread means the curvature of the tread is optimised throughout the width of the tyre. Dunlop Self Supporting Technology is featured on some sizes; it is a construction technique that allows the sidewall to support the vehicle during a loss of pressure to assist runflat capability. Driving in snow and ice conditions is extremely difficult, if not impossible, with BMWs. Because of the poor quality of the road, the run-flat tyres make the ride especially bumpy.

I had these tyres fitted in February 2021 and they have performed brilliantly up until now, which is now May. Compared to my old worn out tyres, these new tyres provide a noticeably better grip, better steering, greater stability, and better braking. Overall, the car feels more stable and reliable making it a pleasure to drive.
