The Dunlop SP Sport FastResponse is a premium summer tyre designed for swift steering response at high speeds on the motorway. These tyres feature an asymmetric tread with separated dry-road and wet-weather components. An uninterrupted centre rib aids in the steadiness of steering during the changing of directions, while the large outer blocks assist in cornering. Dunlop’s Jointless Belt is an under-tread, continuous reinforcement layer that assists the tyre in maintaining its shape at higher speeds.

The tyre elements that perform the braking function are referred by Dunlop as Shorter Braking Blocks. These blocks, in their shortened form, create an increased concentration of braking pressure on the road surface. The summer compound is for a temperature use range above, and is intended for use above, approximately 7°C. This compound places the FastResponse in the warm-weather range of Dunlop. With regards to dry road conditions, it can be impressive. However, it truly outshines in wet road conditions, most especially in areas where heavy rain is present. It does not provide the feeling of aquaplaning.

I have driven approximately 250 miles on the new tyres and have noticed improvements in the ride as they are quieter than the old Dunlop tyres and cornered better. The road noise from the new tyres seems to be quieter compared to the old ones Dunlop tyres and from what I've noticed seem to perform better at higher speeds. The new tyres are fitted to my 2017 Honda Jazz 1.5Lt and replaced the old Dunlop tyres which had ~22,000 miles of life left to them. The fuel average seems to be unchanged as compared to the old tyres I am getting around 48mpg with the new tyres.
