Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).
These tyres have been specifically designed for fitment and use on cars.
The CV Contact Ultra Summer Van Tyre is a member of a new generation of Continental Van Tyres that focuses on the longevity of delivery and tradesman vehicles. The Van Contact Ultra tyre has a tread compound made from a high silicate concentration, and a special polymer network which combats wear, even on the most challenging journeys, laden with a full load. Van Contact Ultra also has a reinforced casing with an additional protection layer tread, and a system designed to protect the internal structure of the tyre from road surface damage. The outer tyre blocks are made from closed blocks for robustness when the tyre is laden, and the inner grooves have stone ejectors to prevent trapped debris from becoming permanent and working into the rubber.
According to Continental VanContact 200, the tyre that the VanContact Ultra replaced offers up to 20% less mileage. For vans with reinforced XL construction, higher load capacity is available. Size dependent, the EU label gradings for fuel efficiency, wet grip and external noise vary. At Tyres.co.uk, we stock the VanContact Ultra.
