Product description & features

The Continental UltraContact is a summer touring tyre designed for long tread life for passenger cars and crossovers. It uses YellowChili, Continental's latest generation of tread compound, which employs a polymer network and abrasion resistant additives for low rolling resistance and reduction in tyre wear. UltraShield Construction protects the tread layers from impacts and poor road conditions. Noise Breakers 3.0 is an innovative solution that provides noise reduction by breaking and dissipating the air pulses that form when the tyre is in motion.

The UltraContact was added into Continental's European summer tyre offerings in 2022 as a dedicated long mileage tyre. Continental claims their mileage improvements and noise reduction enhancements for the UltraContact line are 50% and 15% when compared to their past generation of tyre. For a winter and summer hybrid solution, the AllSeasonContact 2 is Continental's offering and comes with the 3PMSF designation. We have the Continental UltraContact available at Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

  • Long tread life

Tyre review for Continental UltraContact 195/55R16 87T
These tyres are more quiet and provide a smoother ride than the Goodyear Eagles I had previously. They seem to perform just as well in the wet as in the dry. Mind you, at 83 I drive a bit more carefully these days!

Tyre review for Continental UltraContact 195/55R16 87T
Everything is going great so far. I have no reason to believe that they would decline in performance as they wear down. They stop and handle corners brilliantly. A super fit for our vehicle.
