The Continental SportContact 7 is a summer performance tyre. Having developed these characteristics into a different tyre for vehicles of varying weights and power levels, Continental are adept at responding to market needs. The tread pattern is designed for summer conditions, but with rain and wet roads in mind and coupled with an asymmetric Adaptive Pattern, the outer tread blocks link for cornering, the inner section employs a more open design to deal with water.

Constantly Flexible is a rubber compound designed by Continental, with lateral and vertical grooves, which helps the rubber to conform to road surfaces.

The SportContact 7 is the 7th iteration to replace the SportContact 6. Compared to the SportContact 6, Continental says that the SportContact 7 has less braking distance, a maximum improvement of 8% in the wet and 6% in the dry and an impressive increase of 17% in the tyre lifespan.

The tyres offer amazing grip and control. They have survived all the British winters, springs, summers, and autumns and have even made a trip to Europe with no issues at all. I have no complaints, and the additional rim protection is very helpful.

The new front tyres of my Alfa Romeo Giulia are quieter, give a better ride, and provide better grip than the Pirelli Corsa ones. But considering the old tyres had quite a bit of wear on them, it's possible these changes are just from having new tyres rather than the particular make and model I've selected.
