Product description & features

The Continental SportContact 7 is a summer performance tyre. Having developed these characteristics into a different tyre for vehicles of varying weights and power levels, Continental are adept at responding to market needs. The tread pattern is designed for summer conditions, but with rain and wet roads in mind and coupled with an asymmetric Adaptive Pattern, the outer tread blocks link for cornering, the inner section employs a more open design to deal with water.

Constantly Flexible is a rubber compound designed by Continental, with lateral and vertical grooves, which helps the rubber to conform to road surfaces.

The SportContact 7 is the 7th iteration to replace the SportContact 6. Compared to the SportContact 6, Continental says that the SportContact 7 has less braking distance, a maximum improvement of 8% in the wet and 6% in the dry and an impressive increase of 17% in the tyre lifespan.

We offer the SportContact 7 with the added benefit of noise cancelling technology, ContiSilent. We stock the SportContact 7 at Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 7 265/40R21 101Y
Whether you're driving hard or going for a more upmarket feel, the tyres are brilliant. They are a little more comfortable than the Michelin PS4S tyres, but you won't feel any difference in a sporting context and are usually cheaper. They are much softer in the sidewall compared to the Michelin, and I find that I have to pump them up to about 3 bar in the car to keep the handling nice and sharp, but that doesn't affect the comfort. Two small complaints: I wish they would last longer than 18-20,000 miles, but I have to think that the weight and power of the car (heavy, 4WD/4WS, > 500 hp) plays a role in this. They do get quite loud on the concrete surface of the M25 south-west stretch, but that is the only surface where I find them noisy.

I bought these after researching many tests and reviews for my Z4, which had Bridgestone run-flats originally. They have completely transformed the ride and handling of the car. Would recommend.

Offers good confidence and excellent feedback in both wet and dry conditions as it is not too stiff or noisy for everyday driving.

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 7 265/40R21 101Y
I feel very confident in the veracity of the provided information for the documents. I turn very fast and the car remains stable. Tyres also help with braking as it is consistent. Good defence. I do appreciate the rim protection as it is easy to scrape a kerb.

The tyres have totally transformed my experience with the M4. It now grips better in both wet and dry conditions, and it is also much quieter in the cabin.
