Product description & features

The Continental Sport Contact 5 is a premium summer tyre. The BlackChili compound used provides impressive braking and cornering control. The Sport Contact 5 uses an asymmetric tread design. Larger tread blocks are placed on the outer edge for cornering and braking support. Centre tread blocks stiffen at high speeds and a steady line is maintained by the centre ribs. The 3D grooves remove water from the contact patch.

The Sport Contact 5’s successor is the SportContact 6. The SportContact 6 also comes in ContiSeal and SSR constructions. ContiSeal tyres have a sealing layer beneath the tread which seals punctures up to 5mm. SSR (Self Supporting Runflat) tyres are constructed with reinforced sidewalls that support the vehicle after a loss of air pressure. Tyres.co.uk has extensive stocks of the Continental Sport Contact 5 in SSR and ContiSeal constructions.

I used to use conticontact 5 sports, but when I found out they were discontinued, I went with conticontact 6. Turns out they're even better tyres!

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 5 215/50R17 95W XL
The ride is way better with these non-run flag tyres and they have better grip and less noise from the tyres. What is not to love?!
