The Continental ContiEcoContact 5 is an energy-efficient passenger summer car tyre designed with reduced rolling resistance. The ContiEcoContact 5 is built with a rubber compound and casing that expend less energy while rolling. Flat tyre contours reduce the deformation of the tyre and help distribute tread wear. The tyre has a series of longitudinal grooves that help drainage, and an array of slits in the tread blocks work as tactile features for improved braking performance on wet roads.

The ContiEcoContact 5 comes in various constructions and has Reinforced Sidewalls, which offer support after a loss of air pressure with the run-flat construction, and ContiSeal, which has an internal sealing layer to close tread punctures.
