The Turanza T005 is Bridgestone’s premium summer touring tyre. It focuses on everyday wet braking performance. Bridgestone uses their NanoPro-Tech to dissipate damp road performance. The T005 uses silica, and its asymmetric tread blocks contain water route High Angle Sipes (H.A.S.) along with directional edges that create grooves to help remove water and damp road tarmac. There are large outer edge blocks to help steering.

The T005 replaced the T001, and Bridgestone claims it performs better by stopping up to 2m sooner. They released that number around the T005’s 2018 launch. The T005’s sidewall has an XL, which can be seen on the sidewall, meaning it has an additional reinforced sidewall. Tyres.co.uk has the T005 in stock including the additional XL versions.

We tend to only drive our 2015 Mini Coupe on nice days since we only put 4000 miles a year on it and mostly drive it around town. I've had these tyres on other cars and they seem to last well and perform steadily. The grip is excellent when speeding up, slowing down, and turning. The Coupe is known for a rather firm ride, and I doubt any brand of tyre could make it smoother - it's just part of the Coupe's charm. Fuel usage has seen a bit of an improvement compared to the old tyres.

Fairly good, but I feel there is slightly less grip than what I was used to when I was really going for it.
