The Bridgestone Turanza T005 DriveGuard is a puncture protection summer tyre that also helps maintain mobility after a puncture. DriveGuard technology allows this tyre to travel up to 50 miles at up to 50mph after travelling with a puncture. The sidewalls are reinforced to support the weight of the vehicle with either no or little air pressure in the tyre. The sidewall of the tyre is designed with cooling fins that direct air across the rubber. The Turanza T005 uses a specific tread design that incorporates vertical and horizontal slots to help remove water from the tyre. This prevents aquaplaning. In addition, the Turanza T005 uses a NanoPro-Tech technology to improve the wet grip of the tyre.
The Turanza T005 is made for vehicles that are equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system. This system warns the driver of a loss of tyre pressure.
