The Bridgestone Dueler A/T 001 is an all-terrain 4x4 tyre that is designed to be mainly road-focused whilst being capable of traversing gravel roads and rough, loose, working grounds. For this, the Dueler A/T 001 employs high-void tread design and rugged casing. The Dueler A/T 001 has large tread block gaps and has tread blocks that extend all the way to the outer sidewall to provide working edges for driving on loose surfaces. To further protect the tread from cutting and chipping due to rough surfaces, Bridgestone uses a special tread compound.

The Dueler A/T 001 also replaces the Dueler A/T 694 and its all-terrain capabilities in the Bridgestone range. Some sizes are ECE approved with the M+S and 3PMSF markings on the sidewall, meaning they are certified for severe snow conditions. Tyres.co.uk sells the Bridgestone Dueler A/T 001, including the 3PMSF versions.

So far, the tyres have lived up to my expectations by providing better traction in rainy conditions and also being reasonably fuel efficient. Given the reviews, I have no reason to believe otherwise, and I hope they are winter performance expectations are met too.

The car is more pleasurable to drive after becoming used to the softer sidewalls, both on gentle off-road excursions and on the road. I haven't had the opportunity to drive in the snow but it handles well in the rain. After 5,000 miles the tyres appear to be in excellent condition.

They are okay. However, it seems that some of the weights used to balance the wheels may have fallen off one of the front tyres just after I left the garage. Now the steering wheel shakes.
