The Bridgestone Blizzak LM25 winter tyre has been designed to maintain winter performance and offers exceptional traction on snow and ice. Bridgestone uses a tyre compound rich in silica and designed to be used in near freezing temperatures. The tyre tread uses a higher than normal density of thin cuts (or ‘slits’) across the tread blocks. These slits create micro edges when in contact with snow. The tread pattern contains deep channels to drag water away from the contact patch. These channels assist the tread in maintaining effective drainage in the muddy wintry weather.
Tyre compound with high silica levels improves traction on wet and icy road conditions. The Blizzak LM25 also features a tread pattern designed to help reduce the level of slush road noise.
