The Yokohama BluEarth-XT AE61 is an asymmetric summer touring tyre, particularly for SUVs, with a focus on minimising the rolling resistance for the heavier vehicles and improving control and grip on wet roads. The tread design incorporates four, wide longitudinal grooves that provide clear pathways around the tyre footprint for water to exit the surface. The external blocks are large to support the tread structure under the load of the SUVs. The smaller blocks within the tread design provide additional elements for wet braking and traction. The tread design is also incorporated with slits to further assist with wet traction.
The SUV-specific casing also assist with the weight, grip and rolling resistance of the tyre and provides a quieter tread pattern as well. The Yokohama BluEarth-XT AE61 is available at Tyres.co.uk.
