How much fuel the tyre uses as it rolls. Graded A to E, where A is the most efficient and E the least.

How loud the tyre is from outside the car, measured in decibels. Graded A to C, where A is the quietest.
Designed for cars, rather than vans, 4x4s or commercial vehicles.
A stronger sidewall lets this tyre carry more weight than a standard tyre of the same size. Marked XL on the sidewall.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
The Yokohama BluEarth Winter V906 is a symmetric winter tyre. The BluEarth V906 is designed to be effective at both wet and dry braking in cold weather. The BluEarth V906 also has excellent traction in snow. The asymmetric tread increases control and comfort in all winter weather conditions. Large grooves run the circumference of the tyre to provide a path for water and slush to exit the tread. 3D sipes are a unique design element that creates additional edges on the blocks to enhance braking and stability. The sipes reinforce the blocks under braking. The compound is a silica reinforced rubber that maintains flexibility at lower temperatures.
The BluEarth Winter V906 is the successor to the V905. Yokohama’s winter passenger car tyre has an M+S and 3PMSF designation on the sidewall of the tyre. The BluEarth V906 also has an SUV version. You can find the BluEarth Winter V906 on Tyres.co.uk.
