Product description & features

The Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 is an asymmetric tyre that features Yokohama’s Lightning Groove technology. This features angled grooves that carry water from the middle of the tread surface to the edge in order to improve wet grip. Yokohama’s Advanced Nano Blend Compound features silica to improve grip on hot damp tarmac. The shoulder blocks form a stiff shoulder in order to resist flex when steering.

The 5-pitch sequence helps to reduce tread pattern noise. Reinforced XL construction, which increases the load capacity of the tyre, is offered in some sizes. You can find the Yokohama Advan Fleva V701, in both standard and reinforced XL constructions, at Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

  • Asymmetric tread with angled grooves
  • Silica compound for damp roads

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 255/35R19 96W XL
The tyres were so good. I used to choose Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, but this time I went for 5s, and I really liked them for how safe I felt driving on them. I felt really confident with the grip in both dry and wet conditions, though I thought they wore down pretty fast. I thought I'd try some Yokohama tyres this time, after positive reviews. They were £30 cheaper per tyre than the Michelins, and the reviews were right. The grip is really good on both wet and dry surfaces! I'm happy with how my A5 Quattro helps though I'm very please with them. They appear to be wearing down slower than the Michelins, which is great. I'll definitely be buying these again.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 255/35R19 96W XL
They are not as good in the wet as the Michelin Pilot Sports I had previously on my BMW 330D M. The car now feels less stable and reliable compared to before. They are ok in the dry.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 255/35R19 96W XL
In terms of quietness these tyres are almost silent. I cant comment on how long they will last as I haven't done the mileage yet. They dont grip under 5deg and you'll feel the ESP kicking in. I've left my racing days behind me so I can't comment on ultimate grip but these are exceptional on comfort.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 255/35R19 96W XL
These tyres are a huge upgrade from the "ditchfinders" I had on my car before. They are much better in terms of grip on dry roads and I feel completely confident in the car when it is damp. When driving in pouring rain it still feels a bit hairy, but that is likely due to my car's power handling (and my habit of really stomping on the fuel) more than it is due to the Yokos' wet weather grip.
