The directional tread pattern includes deep channels that run from front to back to evacuate water and slush. They need to be installed in the indicated directional marking for the pattern to be effective. The tread blocks are also supplemented with numerous micro-slits to provide additional edges for traction in snow and on uneven surfaces.
