How much fuel the tyre uses as it rolls. Graded A to E, where A is the most efficient and E the least.
How well the tyre stops in the wet. Graded A to E, where A is the shortest stopping distance. Each grade is worth roughly 3 metres, about a car length.
How loud the tyre is from outside the car, measured in decibels. Graded A to C, where A is the quietest.
Designed for cars, rather than vans, 4x4s or commercial vehicles.
A stronger sidewall lets this tyre carry more weight than a standard tyre of the same size. Marked XL on the sidewall.
The Superia Ecoblue HP is a summer tyre designed for passenger cars with advanced features for efficient drainage on wet roads and for easier rolling. This tyre has an asymmetric tread with 4 grooves along the circumference that form channels for drainage. The outer edge of the tread has larger blocks to strengthen the tyre for cornering. The use of a specific tread compound with silica reduces loss of energy during rolling and the variable spacing of the tread blocks reduces road noise.
The use of an asymmetric tread design means that the sidewalls will have to clearly show the Inside and Outside markings to ensure the tread design features for drainage and the outer blocks are in their intended position. Specifications for the Ecoblue HP will vary by size, and therefore it will be necessary to check the EU labels for the specific size to determine technology for improved rolling resistance, dampened road noise, and improved grip for wet conditions. Tyres.co.uk has the Superia Ecoblue HP in stock.
