Designed for cars, rather than vans, 4x4s or commercial vehicles.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
Sonix WINTERXPRO 888 is a winter passenger car tyre designed to clear standing water and provide traction on cold, wet, and slushy roads. The tread on this tyre features wide grooves to transport water through the tyre, which minimises aquaplaning. Additionally, the slits in the tread provide traction on cold and lightly snow covered roads. The winter compound keeps the tyre flexible, and the tread blocks have reinforced support to retain shape when steered or used to corner.
To help meet the needs of the everyday passenger car user, this tyre is designed primarily for slushy and wet roads typical of a UK winter. The compound also keeps the tyre from wearing unevenly, which is a common trait of winter tyres. You can find the Sonix WINTERXPRO 888 on Tyres.co.uk.
