The Pirelli Winter 240 SottoZero Serie II is one of Pirelli's ultra-high-performance winter tyres engineered for high-performance cars for wet and cold conditions. The asymmetric tread gives cornering support with large outer blocks and has smaller inner blocks for snow. Two longitudinal grooves evacuate water from the tread. The Temperature Dynamic Compound is designed to maintain flexibility and harden at lower temperatures, and the Interactive Brickwork Siping adds snow and ice edge bites.
The Winter 240 SottoZero Serie II is designed to support the vehicle in the case of air loss with Pirelli Run Flat technology which uses reinforced sidewalls. Pirelli's newer high-performance winter tyre, the Winter Sottozero 3, replaced the Winter 240 SottoZero Serie II.
