A stronger sidewall lets this tyre carry more weight than a standard tyre of the same size. Marked XL on the sidewall.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
With the use of Pirelli’s Adaptive Compound Technology, the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow accommodates the flexibility needed for snow and ice as a winter SUV tyre. Scorpion Ice & Snow uses the blend of rubber and silica that remains flexible at lower temperatures. The tread features a V-pattern on the directional tread with slush and water removal grooves that head to the shoulder. During braking and acceleration, the slits formed with the tread blocks provide the required edge to enhance the traction.
The Scorpion Winter is the successor to the Scorpion Ice & Snow, Pirelli’s advanced winter SUV tyre. Some of the winter SUV tyres have either the N0 mark, which is the approval mark from Porsche, or the MO mark attributed to Mercedes, and indicates that the tyre was constructed to meet the specific requirements of those manufacturers and was not simply designed to fit the vehicles. At Tyres.co.uk, we have the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow in stock.
