The Pirelli P Zero is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM)-based ultra-high-performance summer tyre with a PZ4 asymmetric design to provide dry steering and clear water evacuation. Three circumferential grooves carry water away from the centre of the tread. The outer edge blocks are wide and stiff to provide cornering support, while inner section slits break up the block and reduce braking pressure concentration.

Pirelli also makes P Zero Tyres with the side marking of an N0 (noted as Porsche approved) or a BMW star as a statement Tyre’s compliance to these manufactures specifications. The Pirelli Noise Cancelling System tyre is a variation of the Pirelli P Zero and has sound absorbing material in the tyre’s cavity to reduce cabin noise. I have a 2003 SL500 with the sport package. The steering feels just as good, if not better and the ride is improved. Plus, the new tyres are way quieter than the old ones. I haven't tried them on wet roads though. P-Zeros are according to EVO quite good.

They put in a solid performance but tend to wear out quickly. I will be switching to Michelin next time.
