Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).
These tyres have been specifically designed for fitment and use on cars.
These tyres are designed with a stronger sidewall, making them capable of handling more weight than your average tyre. Typically, they are classified by the letters 'XL' on the sidewall.
The Pirelli P Zero Nero GT is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre designed for long-distance road use. The Nero GT combines an asymmetric tread pattern with an advanced silica compound for improved performance and grip in wet and dry conditions. The tread design incorporates three wide grooves that run from the front to the back of the tyre, which helps channel standing water aid cornering stability, while large block tread design helps cornering stability. The Nero GT also incorporates optimised pitch design block sequencing which reduces the noise the tyre produces while in motion.
The Nero GT was designed for use in climates above 7 degrees Celsius, which is the typical use range for summer tyres. The GT suffix also refers to Gran Turismo, and the Nero GT also replaced the original P Zero Nero. Tyres.co.uk also sells the Pirelli P Zero Nero GT.
