Pirelli's Cinturato P7 is a summer touring tyre focused on reducing rolling resistance. An asymmetric tread design featuring a series of 4 longitudinal grooves aids in the removal of standing water. The tread design is supported by ribbed channel walls, while larger blocks on the edge of the design support the tyre during cornering. The sound the tread blocks make during motion is dampened by a varied pitch design of the blocks.

The Run Flat version of the Cinturato P7 is designed to carry the weight of the car during a pressure loss. The Pirelli Noise Cancelling System (PNCS) version is built with sound absorbing materials to reduce the noise that reaches the cabin. Some versions of this tyre, upon fitting, carry the BMW Star marking and the Mercedes-Benz (Benz) MO marking, both of which indicate their approval and assist owners in maintaining the original sidewall specification when replacing original tyres. Tyres.co.uk offers the Pirelli Cinturato P7, including both the PNCS and Run Flat versions.

These Pirelli tyres have been outstanding - I replaced them after 41,000 miles, which is impressive for rear tyres on a BMW430d just under 300hp. My front tyres have also done over 50,000 miles and still have loads of tread, so they are also doing well. The car's handling all the while has been fantastic.

I'm confident in the performance of the tyres and I feel completely safe using them. While I do acknowledge that they can be quite noisy, I understand that this can be attributed to the type of road surface some tend to be noisier than others. Recently, the increasing amount of potholes has been more concerning to me.

As anticipated of a premium tyre, they are dependable and offer peace of mind in all circumstances. Since they are run-flat, they are slightly stiffer than standard tyres but given that you're in the country, this will be a reasonable compromise. The fitting done at the local garage in Tiverton was excellent.

Although these tyres can cope with any type of weather, you still need to drive appropriately to the conditions. If you are trying to race the icy roads, all-weather tyres won't be able to compete with the performance of snow tyres.
