Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue Elect summer road tyre was developed for the additional weight and delivered torque of electric vehicles (EVs) as part of the Pirelli ELECT range. They employ a construction that optimises battery range by endorsing lower rolling resistance. Their asymmetric tread employs a unique design of four longitudinal grooves to evacuate water, and the outer edge tread forms a solid band for cornering. The tread employs a high silica content to reduce the energy wastage in maintaining the rolling of the tyre.
The sidewall of the tyre is marked ELECT, illuminating its development for EVs, and therefore should be matched during a one to one replacement of an OE tyre. Pirelli stated at the launch of this product that selected sizes of the P7 Blue range attracted an A rating on the EU label for wet grip and fuel consumption. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue Elect is for sale on Tyres.co.uk.
