The Pirelli Cinturato P1 is a summer tyre for compact cars with a design for a quiet and frictionless experience for town and motorway driving. The Cinturato P1 employs a new design for its tread. It has three longitudinal grooves to evacuate water from the contact patch. The outer edge of the tread is designed to support the tyre during cornering, while the central ribs support the driving in a straight line.
Construction innovation leads to further reductions in the rolling resistance of the Pirelli Cinturato P1. One of these innovations is the use of hybrid materials to reduce the weight of the tyre. Also, sidewalls designed for aerodynamics create a streamlined flow of air around the tyre.
