The Ornate AD153 is a road tyre reliant on a construction of a discrete continuous central rib to form a tread that is stable at high speeds. Surface water is removed through grooves that run circumferentially and channels that cut across the tread pattern. Slits are formed on the tread to create microedge tread features to cater for increased performance on wet roads. The blocks are designed to inhibit the movement of the blocks during braking and placement of the blocks is done to minimise the tyre tread pattern noise. The casing is designed to absorb small to medium imperfections on the road.
The layout of the tread pattern of the tyre is designed to keep handling predictable through acceleration, braking, and cornering on dry roads. The tyre tread pattern also distributes pressure across the tread for even tread wear during the life of the tyre.
