The Nankang SV-3 is a passenger-car winter tyre designed to clear rain and slush from cold, wet roads. The SV-3 uses a directional, V-shaped tread that channels rain and slush away from the centre of the tyre. It uses slits in the tread block to, increase the number of biting edges for braking and turning on icy surfaces. The silica tread compound stays flexible and icy and maintains grip.
As a directional tread, proper channeling relies on installing the tyre in the sidewall marked direction. Nankang also makes an XL version of the SV-3 which has reinforced tread for increased load capacity. Summer tyres reduce grip in cold conditions, and the SV-3 is designed for winter use to counteract this. We have the Nankang SV-3 in stock with XL versions available as well.
