Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).
These tyres have been specifically designed for fitment and use on cars.
These tyres are designed with a stronger sidewall, making them capable of handling more weight than your average tyre. Typically, they are classified by the letters 'XL' on the sidewall.
The Nankang NS-20 has been designed for driving enthusiasts needing excellent grip for road driving. Nankang has used outer shoulder blocks and inner shoulder central ribs in the NS-20 design for faster cornering. The blocks on the shoulder are designed to maintain their position during cornering. The central straight ribs provide stability for straight line driving at high speeds. The NS-20 has a unique design for water dispersion in wet driving conditions. It has continuous grooves and fine ribs to assist in water drainage and grip on wet driving surfaces.
Some versions of the NS-20 have been designed for driving the heavy loads of commercial vehicles; however, the design of the NS-20 is such that uneven wear will not occur if the driving pressures and alignments are correct. The NS-20 also has a special design to assist with fuel economy by reducing rolling resistance. The Nankang NS-20 is available at Tyres.co.uk.
