Product description & features

The Michelin Primacy 4 is a premium summer tyre with an emphasis on safety during wet weather. The tyre uses an innovation from Michelin called EverGrip Technologies. These help with water evacuation from the tread in the tyre’s usable life, and relentless wet grip is one of the advantages during even the final stages of a tyre’s usable life. The technology uses a rubber compound with an innovative tread pattern, and a design with grooves that retain grip with square cross sections which stay open and allow space for water evacuation as the tread wears.

The Primacy 4 is the next generation after the Michelin Primacy 3. Michelin states that the Primacy 3 has a design which retains 22% less space for water evacuation compared to the Primacy 4. Some variants of the Primacy 4 include Michelin Acoustic Technology. This involves using a layer of polyurethane foam in the tyre to dampen sound in the cabin caused by the resonance. We have the Primacy 4, including the Acoustic variants, available on Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

  • Summer tyre for wet weather
  • Grooves stay open as tread wears
  • Foam layer reduces cabin sound

Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 185/60R15 88H XL
These make the grip on wet roads extremely improved. The Continentals used to drift very frighteningly through waterlogged parts on the motorway. Whereas, these Michelins feel very confident in wet conditions. In addition, on dry surfaces, I find there is a little less road noise too.

Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 185/60R15 88H XL
Given the recent rainy weather, we were glad to have bought new tyres because our old ones were more cracked than worn.
