Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 185/55R15 82V
I didn't expect a massive difference from swapping my Pirelli Powergy tyres for these Michelins, but the Michelins are definitely better at maintaining grip during cornering and inspire more confidence when driving in the rain. I recently had to drive through a named storm and torrential rain on the motorway and the tyres performed brilliantly, with no aquaplaning at all, which is more than I could say for the Pirellis in the same weather. Hopefully the Michelins will last longer; the Pirellis wore down too quickly for my liking, which is what made me switch. I have used Michelins on my other cars and have always found them to perform well and last longer than Pirellis and other brands. I believe the best tyres do tend to wear down more quickly, but that's just the trade-off you have to make for the added grip during poor weather and to keep the car on the road instead of putting it in a hedge or ditch.
