The Michelin Pilot Super Sport HN is a tyre designed to meet Hyundai's performance standards, that includes some ultra high-performance summer tyre aspects. It has a Bi-Compound tread with an Asymmetric design. This separates dry and wet-condition rubber. The outer tread uses Michelin's Le Mans rubber, while the inner wet-condition tread elastomer. Below the tread, Michelin uses high-tensile aramid fibre bonded with Twaron in a belt under variable tension. This can restrict and control the growth of a tyre that is racing and travelling at constant high speeds, due to the belt's construction and the variable tension to which it is exposed.

The sidewall's HN is Hyundai's performance division's mark of tyre approval and lets the consumer know that Hyundai's performance division approved the construction of that size and type of tyre. For the consumer to know that it is the specified version, the replacing tyre must also have HN. To maintain the specified version of the tyre, the new tyre must carry the specified mark. The Pilot Super Sports was replaced by Michelin with the Pilot Sport 4 S in the road range. We stock the Michelin Pilot Super Sport HN at Tyres.co.uk.

Unlike the Goodyears that came with the car, these tyres do not slip. They can handle the full 600hp of the car and grip well whether cold or warm. No slipping or traction light unlike the Goodyears. Plus they are quiet even at 130 mph.

I only use these tyres during summer. When it gets colder than 7 degrees, I change to winter tyres. Ever since I added a limited slip diff, I haven't had any slipping, even on painted lines!

Excellent performance in rain and shine. The PS4S tyres weren't available in my 18 inch size, but these perform just as well as I expected, so no concern about not getting the PS4S. Would certainly buy again.

Consistently performs to a good standard. Handles better when there is no precipitation. While their wet weather traction is not as good as the PS4S tyres, the reduced noise level makes up for this.

I've noticed that ride quality has improved and steering feels more responsive. There's a huge improvement in dry grip, and the car feels more stable and secure on the road. They are also good in the wet, but I got them for summer, so they are mainly for nice weather. I'm really happy with how they are performing so far.

Excellent tyres. They grip the road well and the handling of the car is exceptionally good giving you a lot of confidence. The last set of the same tyres from the manufacturer lasted 18,000 miles which I think is quite good for the front ones on a front wheel drive performance car. The original rear tyres are still good at 22,000 miles.
